When I first became a pastor, I thought that being in the ministry meant I would have one victory after another. I thought it meant leading others from glory to glory every day.
Over 40 years of pastoral ministry have taught me that pastoring is an uphill battle, and often we need the counsel of others to help us through the rough spots.
Besides dealing with my own family problems, these are some of the top issues I have faced while counseling members of our congregation:
- The suicide of a child
- The death of a child
- The death of a spouse
- Drug deaths
- Gender identity struggles
- Car accidents
- Hunting accidents
- Hurts from other churches
- Job loss
- Rebelling children
I have appreciated the help and prayer of other pastors when the burden becomes too heavy, and I am available to help and counsel pastors who are in a season of struggle.
In addition to his pulpit ministry, Pastor Ron has been known to give wise council to individuals and groups of leaders. He especially shines when giving council in difficult situations. His love for scripture and the supernatural, along with his deep care for people, is a great combination that produces much fruit.” ~ Chris Ball, President, Elim Fellowship
